This same view, albeit populated by villagers and horses, was the subject of many works by Maguire in the early 1970s and later exhibited at Kennys Gallery, Galway in 1972. A similar work, pertaining to this 1972 exhibition, sold in Whyte's 30 November 2009 Important Irish Art sale for €14,000.
