No. 53, Winter in Ronda depicts Ballagh's family outside the Spanish cottage, with the artist holding a book on Velazquez, which he had purchased en route at the Prado in Madrid.

Printed in a sequence of folded pages, each with a poem to the right and a linocut illustration to the left. Twelve poems and illustrations plus title-page, frontispiece and colophon, loose in a printed portfolio as issued. Rare, not listed in Snoddy. Also with lot is Rákóczi's Painted Caravan, published by Boucher, The Hague, 1954, and inscribed: "To my Dear Sweet Diana, my fellow gypsy on life's myserious Highway - who has travelled from Art School days through the years to Haverstock Hill! From Beny (Rákóczi) with love, London 1955".
