  • Gray, Tony. Cottage Industry an Improbable Tale of Irish Life. Pp. 329. Bound typescript of 75,000 words. Unpublished [?]. Tony Gray (1922-2004) grew up in Sandymount and was educated at St Matthew's School in Ringsend and St Andrew's College, Booterstown. He worked in The Irish Times as a junior leader writer under the legendary editor, R.M. Smyllie. He wrote 20 books and 150 scripts for documantaries and training films. He moved to Britain in 1959 where he had numerous positions in the media and continued to write on Irish themes.
