Notes:Originally from Newtownshandrum, Co. Cork, Burke studied at the Crawford College of Art and was awarded Graduate of the Year in 2000. She had a solo show in the same year at Gallery 44, Cork, followed by another show in 2002 at the Solomon Gallery, Dublin. Aidan Dunne has described her work as “sophisticated and assured without being at all meretricious” (Irish Times Magazine, 9 February 2002).
