Anthony Scott was born in rural Fermanagh and later attended university in Belfast. In 1993, he completed his MA in Cardiff. Currently, Scott resides and works in Blacklion, Co. Cavan, which is located near his hometown of Enniskillen. His work primarily revolves around stylized animal and human figures in bronze, often with modernist rather than realist proportions. He draws inspiration from Celtic mythology and literature, Scott has participated in the RHA Annual exhibition, while also showcasing his work extensively in Ireland, the UK, and various international art fairs. In May 2011, 'See the Stars,' a sculpture created by Anthony Scott, was unveiled by HM Queen Elizabeth II at the Irish National Stud in Kildare. Furthermore, his creations have found their place in notable public collections, including those of the Crafts Council of Ireland, the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, the US Ambassador's Residence in Ireland and the Barbican Centre in London.
