Desmond Stephenson
Stephenson was born in Dublin and attended the NCA, where he met his future wife and fellow artist Nuala McAllister. He exhibited with the RHA from 1942 sumbitting landscapes from North County Dublin, Connemara, Clonmel and Wicklow as well as still lives and portraits. Some of these works were produced on trips that he took with fellow artist Maurice McGonigal. His paintings are held in the collections of Crawford Municipal Art Gallery, the New York Irish Institute and the Arts Council.
