George Colin

George Colin was an American artist born in Salisbury, Illinois. He worked for Pillsbury Flour Mills for over 30 years before deciding to quit his job and focus on his art. His work attracted attention and was shown in metropolitan galleries in Chicago and national museums such as the Smithsonian in Washington. He notably illustrated a children’s book ‘The Little Turtle’, published by the Vachel Lindsay Association. His wife, Winnie Colin, organized a sale of his paintings and other works after his passing in 2014 in Colin’s art studio. (whytes.ie)
