Gerald Leslie Brockhurst
Gerard Leslie Brockhurst was an English painter and etcher, celebrated for his portraits, whose sitters included Marlene Dietrich and the Duchess of Windsor (Wallis Simpson). He lived in Ireland with his wife and model Anaοs between 1915 and 1919, where they were friendly with the artist Augustus John and his circle. Brockhurst was elected to the Royal Academy in 1937.
