John Bratby
John Bratby was the leading light of the 'Kitchen Sink' school of painting. Upon graduating from the Royal College of Art in 1954 he became an instant success, renowned for his un-glamorous realist style, in which people were depicted amidst the chaos of domestic clutter. His style evolved from the 1960s though it retained that brightness and gaiety which characterises his work. Bratby's work is in many prestigious collections including the Royal Collection.
