Kevin Geary
Born in England to Irish parents, Kevin Geary has worked primarily as a portrait artist and has exhibited widely throughout Europe and the USA. During the mid-1970s he lived in Dublin and Waterford and held an early one-man show at the Setanta Gallery. His portrait of Cyril Cusack was donated by the sitter to the Abbey Theatre, where hangs another of Gearys commissions: his portrait of Sean OCasey. Other examples of his work can be found in the National Portrait Collection (London), the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and numerous private collections.
