In the exhibition catalogue for the Annascaul exhibition Adamson's biography reads thus:
Studied at National College of Art in the 1950s. Regular exhibitor in all the major exhibitions in Ireland since 1963 e.g. Independent Artists, Oireachtas, RHA. Has also shown in France and Poland. Public sculptures at Liberty Hall and East Link Toll Bridge, Dublin, several works in churches in Ireland, England and New Guinea etc.
