25 May 2026 Whyte’s Important Irish Art sale on 25 May demonstrated a continuing strong demand for art of quality. The top hammer price of €230,000 (€286, 580 including Buyers Premium plus VAT) was for Paul Henry RHA (1876-1958) DAPPING ON LOUGH MASK, COUNTY MAYO, 1928-36, with a presale estimate of €150,000 to €200,000.

Other notable results include:

-Nicholas Joseph Crowley (1819-1857) PORTRAIT OF DANIEL O'CONNELL, c.1844 sold for €29,000 (Est. €6,000-€8,000)
-Ciaran Clear (1920-2000) TURNING POINT selling at €10,500 (Est. €4,000-€6,000)
-Markey Robinson (1918-1999) VIEW OF DALKEY ISLAND, COUNTY DUBLIN sold for €4,500 (Est, €1,500-€2,000)
-Derek Clarke MBE RSW RSA RSWS (1912-2014) CONNEMARA NIGHTS NO.1, 1946 realised €6,200 (Est. €3,000-€5,000)
