Charles Cullen
Born in Longford, Charles Cullen studied at NCAD, later returning there to teach and until 2000 serve as head of the painting department. He is a founder member of the Project Arts Centre and has been included in a number of major survey shows of contemporary art in Ireland, including The Delighted Eye (1980) and the Decade Show at the Guinness Hop Store (1990). In 1997 the Hugh Lane Gallery held a retrospective of his work. He is represented in the collections of the Hugh Lane, Allied Irish Bank, The Arts Council and Trinity College Dublin among others. www.whytes.ie
