Collectibles & Memorabilia

WHYTE’S ARE IRELAND’S LEADING AUCTIONEERS AND VALUERS OF HISTORICAL COLLECTIBLES

The range that Whyte’s experts handle includes:

  • Autographs
  • Banknotes
  • Ephemera
  • Historic Documents
  • Medals
  • Manuscripts

In the first instance Whyte’s will give an estimate of the likely price an object will achieve at auction. All collectibles consigned to Whyte’s are thoroughly researched and authenticated before cataloguing. They are then carefully photographed to highlight their particular interest for specialist collectors. In addition to our experienced staff, Whyte’s employ the services of a panel of experts – academics, collectors and dealers – to assist in the identification and authenticity of the items catalogued. This ensures that collectors can trust Whyte’s catalogue descriptions, which is reflected in the resulting generous prices paid. Whyte’s hold one to two History, Literature & Collectibles sales a year. These sales, titled "The Eclectic Collector", encompass most of the collecting areas listed above and attract huge attention from the media and from collectors. These sales are not just auctions but social gatherings of collectors from all over Ireland as well as overseas. Whyte’s also host occasional specialised single theme or single owner sales of important collections.
