Taffina Flood
Taffina Flood was born in Dublin in 1967. She studied at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, where she graduated with a Master in Fine Arts in 1998. Her work is characterized by the use of intense colors and geometrical forms through a spontaneous brushwork. Flood’s work was included in several group shows including in the 2023 So Fine Art Gallery Winter exhibition, in the Royal Hibernian Academy annual exhibitions, in the Lavit Gallery, Cork as well as in the Oireachtas Exhibitions. In 2018, she received the RHA Hugh Bradley Award for a mid-career artist for her painting Howl and Seeing Red. Her work Bedlam was shortlisted for the RCSI Art Award in association with The Irish Times during the 195th RHA Annual Exhibition in 2025. (whytes.ie)
